Gus! I'd be writing all about Gus.
We adopted him from a local kitty orphan organization, it was Corey's idea because I read once that cats eat you after you die, and also: they're too smart. I like slobbery, dirty love, the kind that dogs have in droves.
But Gus has a penchant for sleeping on my neck and curling in a round orange ball on my lap when I type and I kind of like him. Nolan has been asking for a brother lately, and this is a much easier substitute.
I have 3 boys in my life now, one orange, one muscled, one small and laughter-filled. God, they're all so cute.
(I'm en route to LA for meetings today, with a super sore throat. At the moment I am sweating through my dress and I am pretty sure I smell like Flu. Hopefully not the pig kind.)
(I know writing has been sporadic here, thanks for hanging in with me. I have so much more to tell you.)

Gus is adorable. Having a cat myself I can say with good authority that they are wonderful pets, enjoy!!
We'll all be waiting for more writing when you have more time and a not so nasty throat.

Can't wait for more! Gus is adorable. Chris and I just adopted a cat too, and we named him Oscar. I am falling in love with him more and more each day! (Even when he climbs on our heads in the wee hours of the morning)
Have a great day...get better! :)

Ugh you always say that!!!!! Have a good, safe trip and think about not teasing us with non-information. I bitch because I love.

I have a cat--he is the devil! Hence he will live FOREVER!
Hope Gus stays chill and plan on having him for like 20years!!! LOL

Feel better soon. Advil will be your BFF. Hope that fever/sore throat goes buh bye!
I love that you guys adopted a cat. We adopted two cat brothers who were the best cats ever, and I miss them like crazy every day. It's been two years since they died.
Can't wait to hear more from you, you know, when you aren't all flubuggin'.

see you soon. I love Gus. I kind of like you too :)
And Corey's not bad either.
Feel better babe!

Nobody will thank you for bringing them the flu. Take a sick day. (Use it to update us with all the juicy news.) Get better soon.

Wish you were feeling better -- would love to try to grab coffee while you're here.

Dude, next time, please take a sick day. No one likes to be on a plane with flu lady, and with swine flu and kids and pregnant ladies, I fear for your life if you sniffle in such close quarters.

So, I came over from Joy Unexpected (she linked you once upon a time and I was reading back) and the first thing I see is the most adorable kitten EVER. So... I'll be reading you from here on out, and just wanted to thank you for pictures that totally made my day. Especially that last one. And the middle one. And the first one.

God, seriously, I don't mean to tease. I'm not a tease. I'm pretty well intentioned. But I can be a flake. Good thing I have you guys to keep on top of me.
Jonniker, I'm not hacking and breathing through my nose and I don't think I'm still contagious.
Anyway, it wasn't as bad as it could have been - en route back home now.

cats only eat you after you die because they have to have animal protein to survive, unlike dogs, which can live on a vegetarian diet. I looked it up. He's a sweetie.

You are the Mistress of Cliff Hangers.
I hope your flu is the plain old fashioned kind and not the one that's going around whose symptoms are exactly identical to the plain old fashioned kind, with the added bonus of "you may die" part.
Please get yourself checked if you feel worse. Use that travel insurance!

I forgot to say Gus is cute. Second pic is crazy cute with a touch of psycho in the eyes (even kittens can't help that).
I sense this little guy knows he's been rescued. He'll be your guardian angel forever.

Cats sit on your neck and steal your oxygen when you sleep.
Dogs only know one thing.
How to love you.
Let the games begin!

I agree - they're all RIDICULOUSLY cute :-)
Also, people who tell you that you should be home while you're sick are jerks!
(I'm currently in my cubicle and someone just walked by and said "How are you feeling? Oh... well... stay away from me!" Well, you know what, jerkface? I have a shit-ton of work to do and a deadline and I need to pay my house payment!)
Jerks...

Gus makes me wish I still had a little kitten. But alas, I am covered with the drool of two dogs, and there's enough pet hair for me to sweep up daily as it is.
I hope you start feeling better. When you are finished with meetings, call your boys into action and hopefully they'll take great care of you!

I was never a cat person either. Then my fiance and I moved in together and his cat was part of the deal. I fell in love.
I still say I'm not a cat person though, just an Oberon person (that's our kitty).

Gus - what a great name. I had a dog for years and now have a cat. I didn't think I would, but I love the cat.

I hope you are feeling better! Being sick sucks!

Oh GOOD. I was just out and about and someone was saying how their office nearly lynched them for going in with the sniffles. I was genuinely afraid for your safety on a plane. People are NUTS this season, I tell you, NUTS.
And Allison, I don't think they're jerks. I just think people are understandably on edge this cold and flu season. Maybe they don't want to bring sick stuff home to their kids, you know?
